Painting on anything and everything
Hello!
I’m Anya, the owner and creative behind Pansi. I’m a Maryland based illustrator, hand-lettering artist, graphic designer, and muralist, located right between Baltimore and DC, just 20 minutes from Annapolis. I get excited about working with people and brands that are trying to make the world a bit nicer and more pleasant to live in. I am a big proponent of mental health, intersectional feminism, the outdoors and environmentalism (I’m a 100% certified granola girl), and making good trouble as John Lewis would say. I also love pink and sparkly stuff. When I don’t have a pencil or paintbrush in hand, this busy body is outside getting a sunburn on a run or hanging off of plastic rocks in the climbing gym.
Inspired by a flower
Pansi is based on the pansy flower, a badass and often underestimated little plant that pushes colorful blooms in spaces and environments other flowers can’t. While I was originally inspired by their resilience, pansies ended up having a lot more to teach me as my new creative identity bloomed.
